Who are we?
Moms and grandmas. Sisters and daughters. Married and single. Students. Homemakers. Women in the work world. Homeschooling families. Retirees. We are women who are called of God to be actively involved in mission outreach in the name of Jesus Christ, by His provision and under His direction.
How do we do this?
Our organization has the following purposes:
How can you get involved?
How do we raise money?
Team members pay their own transportation, room and board costs on outreaches. Funds for project materials are raised generally on a project by project basis. In the past, we have as a team done cleaning, interior housepainting, and roof removal as well as garage sales. Individually, team members have sold paintings, garden flowers, candy bars, and other commissioned work. Some have donated funds from their job earnings. Others have solicited donations from family and friends who are interested in supporting our work.
What if we raise more than we need for a project?
We try to spend down after each project. Additional funds have been given to other organizations to purchase food, blankets, gifts for prison and migrant camp holiday outreaches. We have given money to an orphanage in Mexico for diapers and to an orphanage in Jamaica for a water filtration system. We helped a neighborhood kids ministry buy supplies for weekly classes.
For the last two years, we have been able to sponsor 4 Mexican girls from a poor colonia so they can continue in school. We have arranged for a young father who is unable to work to have an evaluation for a shoe lift and/or leg brace. We are helping a single mom with 4 young daughters with some child care money and arranging a roof repair. We will invest it wherever God leads in meeting basic needs and giving encouragement in His name.
