Our Purpose

May Valley Alliance Church is a fellowship of loving believers, empowered by the Holy Spirit, whose purpose is to worship God, to bring people to Christ, and to prepare believers for Christian service.

Worship - Celebrating our God's greatness and grace
Disciple - Equipping one another for personal growth and ministry in Christ
Serve - Serving God by serving one another and our community by following the example of our Lord Jesus Christ, through sharing God's good news of peace and hope with the world, and sharing His gifts, talents, and resources.

Worship

Disciple

Our Identity

May Valley Alliance Church is a community church with an interdenominational flavor. It is an Alliance church, in that people come from various cultural, church, and non-church backgrounds, and we are associated with the world-wide missionary program of the Christian and Missionary Alliance and Urban Mission Alliance of Greater Seattle.

Our Vision

Our vision is to develop a dynamic, culturally relevant, great commission church in the Issaquah-Renton area that is an every believer a minister, multi-staff church that pursues excellence in participatory worship, small group discipleship, relational evangelism, and pastoral care for missionaries and pastors.

Great Commission - To be actively involved in evangelism, acts of mercy, and the promotion of justice in our community, in greater Seattle, and in the overseas countries of the world.
Every Believer a Minister - To release each believer to discover their ministry by examining their spiritual gifts, heart, abilities, personalities, and experiences and to minister accordingly in and out of the church body.
Multi-staff - To permit staff to specialize in specific areas of ministry, special age groups, and needs.
Participatory Worship - To facilitate the involvement of worship service attendees in celebrating the goodness and greatness of God through a blend of the liturgical and the less structured. Joyful praise, scripture reading, the celebration of the Lord's Supper, the preaching of the Word, prayer, and creative communication will be part of the services.
Small Group Discipleship - To provide the opportunity for ministering to one anothers needs and for spiritual growth through study, prayer and use of spiritual gifts in the context of a small group.
Relational Evangelism - To encourage, to equip, and to enable people to intentionally build friendships with people to share the love of God with them.
Care and Support to Missionaries and Pastors - To minister as a church by the encouragement, counsel, commissioning, and support of pastors and missionaries of the gospel ministry.
