Staff

Pastor, David Lawson
David grew up in Wellington, New Zealand, before his parents shifted to the city of Christchurch to plant a church. He worked for 8 years in architecture before becoming a youth pastor in 1996 and a senior pastor in 2001 at Riccarton Community Church. He joined us here at May Valley in 2008. David's life calling is to help the Church be all that God designed it to be. He is passionate about leadership development and helping people reach their potential. David loves music (80's!), reading, and sports - playing it (rugby/cycling) and watching it (almost anything!). He and his wife, Kim, have three children, Jordan, Ash, and Noah.
